The new Verona range from Olivia Samuel was launched last week and is the first gatefold invitation style to be added to their collection.

Each item has a clear foil floral emboss that follows through on all 13 items within the range for a fully coordinated look from save the date cards through to all reception table stationery including Napkin Rings, Menus and Table Name cards. So the date for ‘That Wedding’ has finally been announced! Yes, Kate Middleton and Prince William are heading for a Spring wedding on 29^th April 2011. We thought we’d banish the cold winter blues and get all our brides and grooms in the Spring Wedding mood with a celebration of Spring colours and ideas. The onset of spring means that you are spoilt for choice with wonderful flower options – but before you set your heart on having armfuls of daffodils , tulips, daisies or peonies, check with your florist that they will be available on your chosen date as some flowers are only in season for a very short time.

With more seasonal flowers becoming available, Spring is a great time to use softer colours in pastel shades and softer hues – like yellow, baby blue, green, pinks and lavender. We love the following colour combinations:

Preppy pink and mint green – this color combination couldn’t be more spring-like, and is perfect for a beautiful, fresh spring wedding

We love receiving novel and unusual ideas for wedding invitations here as the WIS and when Karen contacted us with her original idea we just thought it was so cute and a fabulous idea if you are fed up of the cookie-cutter approach to weddings! Karen came up with the idea for the Original Wedding Tea Towel while planning her own wedding.

Karen: “We decided to get married at the end of last year, and we wanted something special for our invitation…Something different to create a buzz about the wedding, cheaper than standard paper options, good for the environment and something our guests could keep for ever, that’s how we came up with the idea for the Original Wedding Tea Towel. When we’d finished the design and sent them out the response was so incredible that we knew we couldn’t keep the idea to ourselves and so the Original Wedding Tea Towel was born.”
