Our design of the week this week is a classic letterpress wedding invitation design by the Letterpress of Cirencester – Insignia style. So the date for ‘That Wedding’ has finally been announced! Yes, Kate Middleton and Prince William are heading for a Spring wedding on 29^th April 2011. We thought we’d banish the cold winter blues and get all our brides and grooms in the Spring Wedding mood with a celebration of Spring colours and ideas. The onset of spring means that you are spoilt for choice with wonderful flower options – but before you set your heart on having armfuls of daffodils , tulips, daisies or peonies, check with your florist that they will be available on your chosen date as some flowers are only in season for a very short time.

With more seasonal flowers becoming available, Spring is a great time to use softer colours in pastel shades and softer hues – like yellow, baby blue, green, pinks and lavender. We love the following colour combinations:

Preppy pink and mint green – this color combination couldn’t be more spring-like, and is perfect for a beautiful, fresh spring wedding

This week’s wedding invitation ‘Design of the Week’ comes from the latest design studio to join our wedding designer community – Sarah O’Neill Designs. We’d like to welcome Sarah to the Wedding Invitation Shop and show off her stunning stationery. This week’s design is really a ‘collection’ called ‘Light of the Moon’.

This collection is a beautiful line of unique, bespoke wedding stationery created by artist Sarah O’Neill and featuring high quality, hand finished embossing. Each design in the ‘Light of the Moon’ range is individually pressed into the finest quality material, creating an embossing of outstanding finish and detail. The cards are made from acid free, 100% cotton paper, and touches of colour can be added later through hand-painting.
